This month's meeting will be about the art of avoiding difficulties with breastfeeding during the holiday season. We will be meeting in the Woodford's Congregational Church Nursery this Wednesday at 9:30am. Do you know someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding? Do you know someone who wants more information about breastfeeding and/or La Leche League? Bring them along!

Woodford's Congregational Church Nursery

202 Woodford's Street

Portland, Maine

From Maine Turnpike: Take Exit 48, formerly Exit 8 (Portland/Westbrook). Turn left after tollgate. Go to traffic light at the top of the hill; turn left (Brighton Ave. -- Rte. 25). At the 6th traffic light, bear left (between a Lutheran church and a Cumberland Farms store). You are now on Woodford St. Go straight through one traffic light, and the church will be about 1/4 mile ahead on the right.

From Interstate 295: Take Exit 6-B (Forest Ave. North). Stay on Forest Avenue to the 6th traffic light. Bear left. (There will be a Dunkin' Donuts on your left.) You are now on Woodford St. Cross the railroad tracks, and the church will be just up on the left.

Building Entrances: You can either use the front entrance door or park in the rear of the church and take the elevator to the basement level. We meet in the Nursery which is on the basement level.

Mama's Meeting This Wednesday

Please join us for a "Mama's Meeting" this Wednesday the 24th at 9:30am at Woodfords Church. Do you know someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding? Do you know any women who want more information about breastfeeding and/or La Leche League? Bring them along!

Meeting Wednesday November 3rd!

Hello Mothers!

La Leche League of Portland will meet this Wednesday, November 3rd from 9:30 to 11:00am at Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland (directions are below). The first part of the meeting is devoted to questions followed by the monthly topic presented by one of our Leaders.

La Leche League meetings are free and open to all women interested in learning more about breastfeeding and related aspects of childcare and not just for those having difficulties! At La Leche Meetings mothers find a continuing source of information, inspiration and support. Accurate information can help you preserve your breastfeeding relationship if you are a mom who works outside the home or one who stays home. Pregnancy is the ideal time to begin attending meetings and all mothers and their babies are welcome.

We also have a lending library full of outstanding books on breastfeeding, childbirth, parenting, nutrition, discipline and more.

We are looking forward to seeing you and your little one(s)! Also please remember, Leaders are always available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.

DIRECTIONS:

Woodford's Congregational Church is located at 202 Woodford's St. in Portland. If you are heading west on Forest Ave., turn left onto Woodford's St. The church is on the left side. You can either use the front entrance door or park in the rear of the church and take the elevator to the basement level. We will be meeting in the nursery which is on the basement level.
